Welcome to the world of BOX and where it began...
BOX was born out of the stables of The Mobilefone Group, a privately owned
organisation established in 1989 by June Reynolds-Lacey as a provider of mobile
phone, paging and private mobile radio systems.
The Mobilefone Group soon developed into a highly esteemed and successful
communications business, providing 'wire-free' communications for business and
domestic customers. The company focussed on providing excellent customer service
and innovative solutions, offering an extensive portfolio of communications
products and services.
During the early years, The Mobilefone Group became the UK market leaders in
supplying cellular mobile phones, radio systems and paging. The company forged
close ties with leading network operators such as British Telecom, Hutchison
Telecom, and National Band 3. The Mobilefone Group supplied products as well as
voice and data network services to customers throughout the United Kingdom.
In 1994, The Mobilefone Group were appointed as one of the UK's first mobile
phone re-sellers for Orange. This exciting cellular network stimulated business
and consumer interest previously unseen within the UK. The Mobilefone Group
played their part in contributing towards the success of Orange in the 1990's,
and received the accolade of being 'Dealer of the Year' four years in
succession.
new opportunities...
With the continuous changes and many opportunities that the communications
industry presented in the late 1990's, The Mobilefone Group took a strategic
decision to diversify its interests. Recognising the change in purchasing trends
and habits, the Group disposed of their cellular, radio and paging activities
allowing it to concentrate on the company's rapidly growing business, National
Service Hub (NSH).
NSH began its commercial life in 1994, offering after sales support to the
cellular and digital electronics industries. NSH have grown into one of the UK's
most successful operators in it's sector and became the leading 'After Sales
Support Partner' in the UK for NOKIA, the dynamic and hugely successful Finnish
mobile phone manufacturer.
NSH now supply extensive support, service and repair contracts to many high
street retailers as well as providing cellular and electronics services to a
number of well known brands, including NOKIA. NSH also handle component assembly
and distribution for it's sister organisation, BOX.

the founding of BOX
BOX was formed as a company in early 2000. However, key personnel within the
company have been working on designing, developing and delivering their
innovative 'wire-free' telemetry technology since early 1997.
BOX quickly recognised that 'wire-free' telemetry was to play an important role
for commercial enterprises and individuals around the globe. Mobile telemetry
allows a user to intelligently send and receive data, alarms and 2-way
instruction to devices, equipment and people. This exciting new industry sector,
whilst relatively new, is now commonly referred to as 'm2m' - machine 2 machine.
BOX now has an established range of 'wire-free' BOX devices and services.
BOX designs all its leading edge technology 'in-house' through its knowledgeable
and competent research and development team. The company designs a variety of
hardware and firmware as well as various management software packages. BOX also
offer a variety of managed services utilising server based software and our
internet BOXportal service.
BOX were appointed in 1999 as the UK's first service provider of telemetry
connectivity across the Orange data network. BOX now offer a comprehensive
billing platform to its strategic partners and customers for data, voice and SMS
connectivity in the UK and Europe
